Masjid Uthman Dan Fodiyo is named after the Amir'l Mu'mineen, Nur uz Zamaan, Sayf al Haqq Uthman Dan Fodiyo. Our Jamaat is  100% dedicated to Tajdid (revival) and the methodology that Shehu (which properly pronounced as "Shayhoo" ). This methodology of Tajdid is the act of renewing Islam in a time when holding on to one's deen is like holding on to HOT COALS.

We subscribe to the Jama'at of Ahlus-Sunnah which traces its origins to the Messenger of Allah(saws) who passed the reigns of leadership to the greatest follower of a prophet that Allah ta'ala ever created, Abu Bakr as-Siddeeq(radhi allahu anhu), who passed the reigns to Umar ibn al-Khataab, the greatest conqueror Islam has ever known. Who passed the leadership on to Uthman ibn Affan, the possesor of the two lights ( Ruqayyah, and Umm Kulthuum) both daughters of the Messenger of Allah(saws). Then this leadership was passed on to the greatest Qadi this world has ever known, Ali ibn abi Talib, karam Allahu wajh, may Allah enoble his face, and free him of what the liars have said concerning him.

This tajdeed we're dedicated to is in accordance  with the methodology of the great scholars of the Victorious Sokoto Khilafa who wiped out  all traces of Shaytanic Innovation from the lands of the Blacks which is now referred to as West African . This  Methodology is based on strict Adherence to the Book, Sunnah and the way of our righteous Salaf (predecessors), which Includes the generation of the Sahaba and men like Abdullah ibn Mas'ud who took the deen to Iraq in the East. And men like Abdullah ibn Umar who held it down in Madina. Also Ibn Abbass who held it down in Mecca..(May Allah be pleased with all of them.) This manhaj also includes the second generation and men like Al-Hassan al-Basri, student of Ali ibn abi Talib, who taught the deen in Iraq. Nafi, Ibn Shihab, and Said ibn al-Mussayyib, who taught in the Hijaaz. Men like Hammad who taught in Kufa. INCLUDED IN THIS SALAF ARE THE THIRD GENERATION. These are men like Abu Haneefa, he held it down in Iraq, student of Hammad. Men like Malik ibn Anas, student of Ibn Shihab and Nafi, who was the Imam of the Hijaaz. And others like Imam Shafii, and Ahmad, students and teachers of one another.

Our teachings is well connected with an unbroken chain of transmission along with the baraka from Allah that the Sokoto Khilafat under the Guidance of Shaykh Uthman ibn Fodio was able to rid Hausaland of deviants and establish the undisputed Sunnah of Muhammad Sallahu alayhi wa salam. insha'Allah it will remain that way until the arrival of Imam Mahdi.
